I got the Matcha half sweet and it was pretty good. The chicken sandwich is probably the star of the show. Fries have a really good creamy dipping sauce and the tuna melt is really different and has a good flavor. I always come here for the crispy bread. It was Sunday so they had a farmers market and you walk across the street to the lake.

Food was good and felt clean. Ambiance is also casual with lots of outside activity. Service was good but could be a little more than just "what would you like to order". Overall not too shabby

Picked up an order from UberEats for a Goodmother Sandwich with Shaka Spuds. From my quick glance, the ambiance was very casual as expected for a deli. For a pickup, the service was great because it was available earlier than expected. The Goodmother sandwich was very respectable with high quality meats, fresh toppings, and a solid bun. However, the sandwich was lacking in the sauce and cheese department. The Shaka Spuds were also respectable with a nice fresh crisp, and fun garnish of real rosemary. That said, the rosemary was more looks than flavor with the overall taste just being a salty potato chip. Solid place that I will be coming back to when I'm craving a nice meaty sandwich.

Follow-up visit and the Smashballer was just as good as I remembered! Smashed meatball, lemon ricotta, arugula, basil pesto, herb tomato sauce, fresh mint, cherry pepper and Parmesan make for the best ingredients sandwiched between ciabatta. It's no wonder the Smashballer is one of Chef Max's "favorites"!
